questions and answers and Stephen King @ 12:50 pm
A while back, someone who is close to me made a comment about my books. Yup, it was to the affect/effect (have never figured those 2 out) of whether or not the love scenes in my book were taken from my real life. Okay, let's all say it together:
EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW
Besides the fact that this person has no business even thinking about what happens in my house, the whole thing is ridiculous. So I thought I'd post this here in case anyone out there was even considering the idea of making a similar comment to a romance author.
Don't. Don't do it. It's rude and obnoxious and incredibly icky.
And for those of you who actually wonder about things like this, ponder this. Do you think Stephen King has done all the things he writes about? Do you think Janet Evanovich (sp?) has? Do you think JRR Tolkein (again with the spelling??) has travelled to Middle Earth and seen walking trees, wizards and hobbits? It's called an imagination, people, and fiction writers need one in order to write their stories. I've never ridden in a stage coach, either. Whatever. I'm just sayin'. . . . .
Anyway, on the topic of Stephen King (okay, we weren't really on that topic, but we are now, so try to keep up), he's written a new hilarious article for the Washington Post that I had to share. I don't know if this link will work for very long, but it's worth reading. The guy is hilarious, and if he hadn't scared the crap out of me with "It", I'd probably still be reading his books. :)
go Yankees!!!!!
